Note: These instructions pertain to videos that you are the owner of and are not Youtube videos.

Step 1. Log into Canvas and click the Canvas Studio icon in the blue left-hand navigation menu to navigate to Studio. There, you will see a list of all of your videos.

Step 2. In Canvas Studio, select the video you would like to download by clicking on the video thumbnail.

Step 3. To download the video, click the three-dot kebab icon in the upper right-hand corner of the video and click Download.

Important Information

You can only download videos from Studio if they are original videos that were uploaded to your Studio library.

Studio does not allow you to download videos that you've added to your Studio Library from YouTube (downloading videos from YouTube goes against their Terms of Service).

For faculty: You are not able to download videos that were uploaded to Canvas Studio as assignment submissions by your students. These videos will need to be downloaded by your students using the instructions listed above.

Any videos upoloaded by TAs or co-instructors will need to be downloaded by the respective owner.
