Lockouts

Users can be locked out of their Netpass in two ways:

Temporary Lock:

  • If you unsuccessfully attempt to log in 5 times, you will have a temporary lock on your account for 15 minutes.

Permanent Lock:

  • After 9 bad passwords attempts, you will be locked out of your account.
  • If you are trying to reset your password but answer your security questions incorrectly 3 times, your account will be locked. The only way for this lock to be removed is for the Service Desk to reset your security question answers. This can only be done after verifying your identity with the Service Desk by sending a picture of your ID via email or by coming to the desk with your ID.
