IC HR Cloud: Basic Introduction for Employees

Login 

The IC HR Cloud login screen can be accessed via link in Parnassus, or on the apps.ithaca.edu home page. Once you have reached the login screen, sign in using your NetPass credentials. 

 

Important Reminders Before You Begin 

  • IC HR Cloud contains sensitive personal data. Please be sure to log out completely and close your web browser when you are finished working. 

  • DO NOT use your browser’s back button when using IC HR Cloud. 

  • For assistance with the IC HR Cloud platform, or to report a problem, contact Human Resources. 

Navigation 

This is the page you will see when first logging in. Follow the diagram below for a quick reference on navigating the main page:

  • Apps contains functions you will use as an employee. Click on an icon to enter the App and access its functions. 

  • Quick Actions provides easy access to some of the functions contained within your Apps. 

  • Home navigates to the home page from anywhere in IC HR Cloud 

  • Search Bar is used to quickly and easily search for people and actions in IC HR Cloud 

  • Notifications will display a number if you have any outstanding items or unread notifications 

  • Settings & Actions provides you with preference/configuration options and ways to find help using IC HR Cloud 

 

To return to the previous page when working within an app, Click  . 

 

REMINDER: DO NOT use your browser’s back button when using IC HR Cloud

 

View/Edit Personal Information 

The Personal Information app is used to view and edit information pertaining to you, the employee. Click on the icon shown below to enter the Personal Information app:

Personal Details 

Personal Details contains basic identifying info such as your name, date of birth, and marital status. 

To access Personal Details, Click on the Personal Details tile:

  1. Scroll down the page to view different sections of info. 

  1. Click  to collapse a section or  to expand a section. 

  1. Any sections that you can edit will show  on the right side of the screen. 

  1. Click on  to make any changes. 

  1. If prompted, Type an Effective Starting Date and complete any other fields marked with an asterisk (*), along with any other relevant information. 

  1. Click Submit to complete any changes or Click Cancel to discard them. 

 

Family and Emergency Contacts 

To access Family and Emergency Contacts, Click on the Family and Emergency Contacts tile:

To view and edit existing contacts: 

  1. Click on the Name of a contact. 

  1. Scroll down the page to view different sections of info. 

  1. Click  to collapse a section or  to expand a section. 

  1. Any sections that you can edit will show  on the right side of the screen. 

  1. Click on  to make any changes. 

  1. If prompted, Type an Effective Starting Date and complete any other fields marked with an asterisk (*), along with any other relevant information. 

  1. Click Submit to complete any changes or Click Cancel to discard them. 

 

To delete an existing contact: 

  1. Click on the Name of the contact. 

  1. Click the Delete button in the top-right corner of the window. 

 

To add an Ithaca College faculty member, staff member, or retiree as a contact: 

  1. Click on the Add button in the top-right corner of the window. 

  1. Click Select a Coworker as a Contact. 

  1. Type or Select a date for when your relationship to this contact began. 

  1. Type all or part of the contact’s name in the Search for a coworker to add as a contact field. Find and Click on the person’s name in the dropdown list that appears. 

  1. Select your relationship to the contact from the Relationship dropdown. 

  1. Click the checkbox in the bottom-left corner if this person is an emergency contact. 

  1. Click Submit to finish entering your contact or Click Cancel to discard the information you have entered. 

 

To add a new contact: 

  1. Click on the Add button in the top-right corner of the window. 

  1. Click Create a New Contact. 

  1. Type or Select the contact’s information as indicated. Fields marked with an asterisk (*) are required. 

  1. Click Submit to finish entering your contact or Click Cancel to discard the information you have entered. 

 

Contact Information 

Contact Information contains your phone numbers, mailing addresses, and email addresses. 

To access Contact Information, Click on the Contact Information tile:

Your Primary phone, email, and address are indicated by  on the left side of the screen. 

 

To view and edit existing contact information: 

  1. Scroll down the page to view different sections of info. 

  1. Click  to collapse a section or  to expand a section. 

  1. Any entries (phone, address, email, etc.) that you can edit will show  on the right side of the screen. 

  1. Click on  to make any changes. 

  1. If prompted, Type an Effective Starting Date and complete any other fields marked with an asterisk (*), along with any other relevant information. 

  1. Click Submit to complete any changes, Click Cancel to discard changes, or Click Delete to delete the entry. 

 

To add a phone number: 

  1. Click  to expand the Communication section (if not already showing). 

  1. Click the Add button in the top-right corner of the section. 

  1. Click Phone Details. 

  1. Select the type of phone number you are entering from the Type dropdown list. 

  1. Select the country for the phone number from the Country Code dropdown list. 

  1. For United States numbers: Type the 3-digit Area Code and 7-digit Number in their respective fields. For non-US numbers: Enter the entire number in the Number field. 

  1. Click the Primary checkbox if this is your primary phone number. 

  1. Click Submit to finish your entry or Click Cancel to discard your entry. 

 

To add an email address: 

  1. Click to expand the Communication section (if not already showing). 

  1. Click the Add button in the top-right corner of the section. 

  1. Click Email Details. 

  1. Select the type of email address you are entering from the Type dropdown list. 

  1. Type the email address in the Email field. 

  1. Click the Primary checkbox if this is your primary email address. 

  1. Click Submit to finish your entry or Click Cancel to discard your entry. 

 

To add an address: 

  1. Click to expand the Address section (if not already showing). 

  1. Click the Add button in the top-right corner of the section. 

  1. Select the country and type of address you are entering from the Country and Type dropdown lists. 

  1. Type the information for the address you are entering as indicated in the remaining fields. Any field marked with an asterisk (*) is required. 

  1. Click the Primary checkbox if this is your primary address. 

  1. Click Submit to finish your entry or Click Cancel to discard your entry. 

 

Employment Info 

Employment Info contains details about your work assignment, manager, and a history of your employment at IC. 

To access Employment Info, Click on the Employment Info tile:

  1. Scroll down the page to view different sections of info. 

  1. Click  to expand Employment History or  to collapse Employment History. 

 

My Compensation 

My Compensation allows you to view your current and past Salary, as well as some additional compensation details. 

To access My Compensation, Click on the My Compensation tile:

  1. Scroll down the page to view different sections of info. 

  1. Click to collapse a section or to expand a section. 

 

To view your previous salary history at Ithaca College: 

  1. Click  to expand the Current Salary section at the top of the page (if not already showing). 

  1. Click Show Prior Salary.
