Issue
On a Microsoft Windows 10 computer, an issue may occur where the computer displays an error relating to Network Discovery upon waking up from a sleep or hibernation:
Network discovery is turned off. Network computers and devices are not visible. Please turn on Network Discovery in Network and Sharing Center.
Resetting network settings in Settings fixes this error.
- Select the Start button and click Settings.
- Click Network & Internet, then click Status, and then click Network Reset.
- On the Network reset screen, select Reset Now.
- Click Yes to confirm.
- Restart your computer.
