This article goes over downloading the full Bomgar client for both Mac and Windows.
Downloading Bomgar on Mac:
1. The technician will request access to elevate to full remote support. This allows the technician to access control of your mouse and keyboard. Below is what the prompt will look like. Click Accept.
2. After clicking the link your browser should initiate a download that will be located in Finder > Downloads folder (or for Windows: File Explorer > Downloads). Double click "Open to Start Support Session" this is accompanied by the Bomgar logo.
3. If a pop-up window requests permission to open this file, Click "Open".
If you get a message stating that the download is damaged or corrupted, find the icon on your desktop that's named "Bomgar SCC" and double click it. Next, double click the Bomgar icon that appears in the pop-up. if prompted, type in your password that is used to login to the device.
4. Wait a moment for the installer to complete. Once it's finished, you should see the Bomgar symbol in your dock and the chat window reappear.
Downloading Bomgar on Windows:
1. You should see that Bomgar is downloaded into a folder within your browser. It will be located in File Explorer > Downloads. Double click the file.
2. A message will appear asking if you want to allow Bomgar to make changes to your device. Click Yes.
3. Once you click Yes, you should see that Bomgar chat reappear on your screen once again.
